Discovery Net

The Discovery Net is one of EPSRC's six pilot projects (GR/R67750/01). It is based at Imperial Collge London and being led by Dr Yike Guo (yg@doc.ic.ac.uk) from the Department of Computing. Its goal is to gain knowledge from high volume distributed data sources in the fields of bioinformatics and environmental monitoring. LeSC will be developing its Java / Jini middleware to support the discovery and federation of computing and storage resources to support the project.
