Sun Grid Engine Integration with LCG 2
Introduction
This page describes how to configure a LCG 2 CE so
that it can submit jobs for execution on a local Sun Grid Engine
(SGE) installation.
Further information can be found on the GridPP wiki
.
Prerequisites
- A working Sun Grid Engine installation (version 6.0 or above).
- Specifically, you should already be able to run jobs on your cluster using the qsub command.
- The "qstat" command must support the "-xml" option (a feature introduced in SGE 6.0)
Current Status
Work is currently being carried out to integrate SGE support into the official LCG software releases.
The London e-Science Centre has retained responsibility to produce the information reporter, however
the jobmanager is currently being worked on elsewhere.
We recommend that you contact us before attemting to make use of the jobmanager distributed on this site.
